REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:  Nursing Degree.

 

Experience:  None.  One year in similar position preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:  Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination.  Frequent walking, keyboarding, speaking, writing, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, stooping, and turning.  Some lifting up to 30 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

 

Other Requirements:  Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and problem solving skills.  Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, email, and internet.  Ability to provide physical assessment and CPR.  Ability to keep information confidential.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

  1. Serves as a team member in identifying, evaluation, and providing services for children.
  2. Focuses on prevention of illness, disability, and early detection and correction of health problems.
  3. Maintains student health records.
  4. Administers medications, treatments, and procedures as directed by physicians and District policy.
  5. Maintains and assures confidentiality.
  6. Complies with FRPA guidelines.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.
