*Geothermal Experience Preferred*

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:  High School Diploma or GED.  Two years of technical engineering degree or equivalent preferred.

 

Experience:  One year of facility maintenance experience, two years preferred.  Experience in operation and maintenance of hot water and steam boilers; proper water treatment; burner operation; centrifugal pumps; knowledge of fire alarm and automatic sprinkler fire systems; knowledge of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems; and electrical, plumbing, and sewer system equipment. *Geothermal experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:  Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, walking and standing.  Frequent bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, turning, and crouching.  Occasional sitting and crawling.  Ability to lift up to 75 lbs intermittently.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

 

Other Requirements:  Ability to recognize equipment malfunction.  Ability to give direction effectively.  Shares responsibility for holiday, extended day and weekend activities with other operations staff.  Ability to work modified assignments as necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

  1. Assists the Facility Supervisor in the daily management and operations of assigned facility.
  2. Supervises and assists with evaluating custodial personnel.
  3. Responds to facility emergencies.
  4. Maintains and enforces safety and sanitation procedures.
  5. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance in regards to mechanical systems, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, fire alarms and sprinkler systems, plumbing and sewer systems, sound and lighting systems, and facility entrance systems for all District facilities.
  6. Performs preventative maintenance, repair, remodel, and small construction work on buildings.
  7. Delivers and moves supplies, equipment, and furniture; assembling when necessary.
  8. Requisitions maintenance and custodial supplies, tools, and equipment.
  9. Assists with facility inventory of supplies and furnishings; maintains tools and equipment.
  10. Works with outside sources such as inspectors, suppliers, and contractors.
  11. Assists custodial staff as needed.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
