REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: None. One year of food service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, walking and standing. Frequent bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, turning, crouching, and repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs intermittently. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Other Requirements: Ability to work cooperatively and congenially with others, to follow written and verbal directions, and to perform basic math computations. Ability to keep information confidential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
- Prepares food to be served for breakfast or lunch.
- Keeps production records for preparation and serving of all food.
- Adjusts recipes for varying quantities.
- Works in accordance with South Dakota sanitation and health guidelines.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Cleans and maintains serving area.
- Serves food.
- Monitors student trays to ensure accordance with National School Lunch Program guidelines.
- Serves as cashier.
- Washes small equipment, pots, pans, dishes, serving ware, and trays.
- Stores leftover food according to proper storage and safety procedures.
- Follows safety procedures in the use of all equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
